Our story
In Dubai's heat, in May 2018, Lizzie arrived.
She joined LinkedIn and absolutely thrived.
Albert, intrigued, asked his mate with a smile,
"Have you seen the new girl? I like her style.
For months, business went as it should,
A working relationship, solid and good.
Then, in Dubai's sun, where shadows were cast,
Our friendship blossomed, a bond that would last.
On Fridays in Dubai, a cultural delight,
Brunch afternoons made everything right.
From colleagues to friends, the shift was a hunch,
In the heart of it all, a story at brunch.
Thanks to the brunch delights, our friendship soared to new heights.
On 29th April 2022, in Bali’s jungle, midst leaves so green, it was a proposal scene.
Albert knelt on one knee, where love blossomed wild and free.
He asked Lizzie to share in his life, to be his forever, loving wife.

It always had to be a destination wedding of some sort. Between the two of us, we have connections to five different countries across two continents. So, in true Lizbert fashion, we thought what made the most sense is to make it a destination for everyone. - Villa Di Ullignano
The main celebration will unfold at Villa di Ulignano, Tuscany. Villa di Ulignano is located in the heart of Tuscany, just 10 km outside of Volterra.
At the end of last year, we heavily invested in the venue selection process, and personally visited 11 venues scattered across Tuscany. Each one possessed its unique charm, but it was at Villa Di Ulignano where we exchanged knowing glances and declared, "This is the one." We could envision bringing together our loved ones from around the world for a ‘LizBert’ special celebration. The Villa offers the perfect canvas with its generous space, amazing range of amenities, and the promise of a wild celebration!
Villa di Ulignano is located in central Tuscany in an area dotted with small charming villages full of history such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Monteriggioni. In about an hour's drive from the villa, guests can reach Tuscany's beautiful Siena (45 min), Pisa (1 hour), Florence (1.5hr) as well as the famous Chianti wine region, famous both for its splendid panoramic landscapes as well as for the great red wines the area produces.

We would like to welcome everyone with some drinks and nibbles, at our favourite place in Volterra. Please note a formal dinner won’t be served, so if you think you will be hungry afterwards, we suggest booking a table at a restaurant nearby.

To close off the celebrations, we are inviting everyone back to the Villa for one last hurrah: a pool party to rejoice us 'diving' into the marital plunge. Make sure to bring your swimwear as we sip, swim, and party the day away. There will be pizza and drinks served; however, if possible, it would be great if you could bring your drink of choice, as we tend to have thirsty family and friends.

Getting There…
There are lots of car rental companies at Pisa Airport. Rentalcars.com offer good deals and free cancellations. The drive from Pisa Airport to Villa Di Ulignano / Volterra is just over an hour.

Accommodation
Please book your accommodation in Volterra Town Centre
A good reference is to make sure your accommodation is within walking distance of Osteria Fornelli, Volterra.
On the day of the ceremony and pool party, we will be providing transport from Volterra Centre to the Ceremony venue, and returning back to Volterra. Please make sure you book somewhere easily walkable from Volterra town centre, as we won't be able to make drop offs on the way.
As August is high season, we recommend you book your accommodation as soon as possible, as there is a limited amount of accommodation in the town. Booking.com is a good place to start 😊. If you are unsure about the location of your chosen accommodation, feel free to reach out to us to get our guidance.

Sorry to disappoint but we don't have a registry, we moved in together a few years ago and have everything we need. From the bottom of our hearts having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all.

- What should I pack?
Sunglasses, Suntan Lotion, Mosquito Spray, Pocket Fan, Dancing Shoes, Towel (Pool Party), Flip Flops, Umbrella (just in case it rains)

Ladies – Stilettos is not a good idea. A lot of the terrain is grass or pebbles so save those lovely heels.
Due to the time of year we are expecting it to be hot, so please take this into consideration when packing your wedding attire as we want everyone to be comfortable.
- What happens if it rains?
Let’s pray the rain stays away. However, rain is always a possibility; everything will still go ahead as planned (the pool party might have to be an indoor party), so bring an umbrella just in case.
- Will you be catering to dietary requirements?
Yes, please let us know in your RSVP message section what your dietary requirements are: lactose free, vegan, nut allergies etc. If allergies are severe, please mention this clearly as well.
- What are the transport arrangements to/from the venue on the day of the ceremony and pool party?
We will be providing a shuttle bus service that will leave from Piazza dei Priori in Volterra Centre to take you to Villa Di Ulignano.
- Are children invited?
While we adore our friends and families children, we can only accommodate those of the bridal party. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.
- Can I bring a guest?
We would love to have an open invitation to all however the capacity for the venue is limited. The invitation is for only those that the invitation email is addressed to.
